| I'm a keen online shopper not only for computer parts but also photography gear and once in a while bump into unpleasant situations with some of the stores e.g. lately had an unpleasant shopping experience with Steg Computer.
I keep up to date my profile in toppreise.ch including store reviews. Toppreise is IMO the main choice to search for good price offers in Swiss online stores. There is something that upsets me a bit, that all store ratings and comments are hidden. I'm a lot happier with the US system in this regard where all customer reviews of both products and stores are publicly available.
I contacted toppreise directly and their response in this regard was "... one of the main reasons we currently don't publish the reviews is that we simply don't have the time to discuss every second review with either the merchant or the customer which we would have to". Is that really so? are they by law bound to discuss the reviews with the reviewers one to one? this sounds a bit fishy to me.
All this hiding only brings one thought to my mind, they might be rigging the ratings and dealing with the stores ... | |

as long as they are not publishing it for anyone bad or good, I'm fine, it's a free and great service!
