Very specific question, EFers.

Does anyone know a Swiss telephone number that, when dialled, plays really annoying music that could possibly pass for that played when people are on hold for a teleconference?

The reason I ask is because a colleague with a loud voice holds impromptu meetings in our small shared office, despite meeting rooms being available closeby, disrupting my mental energy, and it is hoped that the noise blaring from my telephone whilst I am "waiting for the teleconference to start" will overwhelm those at my desk side, forcing them to flee the cacophony.

Yes, mine. Callers tell me that when ringing my mobile, they get treated to music instead of a ringing tone. I'm with Orange - does anyone know how to get rid of it?

Thanks PaddyG, but that would be too logical, which isn't always the best approach in this situation.

I have been told that Switzerland is where the 80's came to die (esp. in terms of clothing and music) so was wondering if there is any way to get Genesis or Tina Turner blaring from my office phone (to give a bit of "local flavour").

Hopefully that will have the desired effect.

there is genesis teleconference service. this one is truly awful. has some grating panpipe music punctuated by "your conference will begin shortly" messages every 10 seconds. arghhhhhh!
