| | | Are men exceptionally rude in Switzerland?
Hello
I've been here for some time, but recently ditched the eyeglasses for contact lenses. I have been told that it's made me much more attractive but the reaction from Swiss men has been very interesting.
They approach me in the street but are either rude before or after I reject them. I have never been called the things I have in the last few days. Is this everyone else's experience or what is going on here?

Glasses probably hid some of the damage. This tread is no good without pictures...

Maybe you need to put the glasses back on when you don't want the attention. I seems you might be a very attractive woman.
Some men are difficult and unsure of themselves. They insult you so that when you turn them down they think it was your attitude and not their problem they were not successful.

Maybe it's the way you dress that invites these comments. Dressing in tight black pants and a clingy, deep cut top and wearing killer heels while walking near a train station sends mixed messages.

My inner cynic is telling me that there is probably more to this story than what has been revealed thus far.
Nevertheless, OP might want to consider popping the lenses out of the old glasses or getting a new pair of glasses with no prescription to wear when out "on the street."
That, or hire a bodyguard.

Well I guess the OP should be grateful she is not in Japan. There the men would just make a lunge at her for a good grope....
But you have to wonder...I mean I am out and about a lot and I never notice men going up to good looking women, expressing appreciation for whatever physical attributes they may have and asking them to coffee (or whatever else they may have in mind) and yet the way the OP describes it there is a line up of men waiting to have their egos squashed.... Where is this all happening? Are we talking Langstrasse or the Sihlquai (where one could explain it) or in the middle of the Bahnhofstrasse?
This is a most interesting phenomenon which warrants a serious amount of research...

If in English, it seems odd that they have so many 'er, interesting words' in their vocabulary, and, if in German, where on earth did you learn all the 'correct' English translations? That one hears or reads the words is one thing, to know the direct translation is another. Weird.
