| | | French Drivers!
Why can't the French drive properly? I am sick and tired of jumped up little Sarkozys recklessly overtaking me at the slightest opportunity and roaring through the village like it's Le Mans. I can only assume they haven't heard of driving lessons over there, or indeed basic manners. Or maybe it's something in the water (pastis perhaps?) Grrrrr.

I honestly don't think that french drivers are worst than swiss drivers. they drive fast, they use their horn a lot, they don't give the way at the roundabout and they are rude. I think those who behave the best behind the wheel are the English.

I think the OP was having a bad day, or he didn't sleep well and need to change his mattress - he would be less crancky and more open |

They lane hog the fast lane at lower then the speed limit, have no idea how to drive through water, are hopeless at driving on snow and ice.
Was recently over there and the british lets be polite highlighted how useless they are at entering a roundabout when the lights dont help you, they sit and sit and sit and as a result noone gets anywhere

Where in the UK were you and for how long? You appear to have experienced a vast array of driving conditions ... and are now making numerous spurious generalisations.

Driving like an ass hole is not the exclusive privilige of any nationality.
Just because a car has french number plates does not guarantee the driver is french.

Those driving cars with French driving plates are English,French,Germans and lots of Swiss. Having lived in France I can tell you that lots of cars with Swiss plates suddenly change behaviour when they get into France.

Maybe they are generally what they experienced.

| | | Re: French Drivers! | Quote: | | | | | Maybe they are generally what they experienced. | | | | | The snow and ice aside as there was non of that this trip everything else though was absolutely the case. Snow and ice evidence of incompetence just watch the television when ever it comes they slip and slid cant get cars out of driveways.
Now as for the other claims. Driving along the Winchester area and middle lane is empty so what does everyone do they move to the fast lane and drive 20mph under the speed limit with an empty middle lane.
Come to a large round about where the traffic is trying to get in and what do all the cars in front do they need an invitation the length of england before they dare enter. Sounds unbelievable but absolutely true. Result was traffic jam back into town due to the idiots that have no idea how to push out and force some sense of urgency.
Drove along flooded roads and again they have no idea whatsoever on how to drive a car through deep water without stalling the thing.
As I said they think they are good but they aint!
There is the evidence and all of thes observations in 4 days of driving there
