Unbeliavable FUST

really surprised about the electrical hose invoice of 81CHF which was not mentioned (but apparently written into the delivery form) during the montage of my washing machine.

Customer service just told me they will charge another 81CHF if they come and take back those electrical hoses. Very professional Fust.. go on like this!!

What's "electrical hose"
It's the rubber pipe which transports the electricity from the wall socket to the washing machine. They're terribly prone to leakage, which is why it's always good to have it installed by a professional.

Re: Unbeliavable FUST

Sounds like one of those cable issues where you buy a PC only to find the cable doesn't come with it. Can you contact the machine manufacturer via e-mail to ask what accessories come with the machine? When we've bought stuff (not from Fust - we have standards) the quote has included machine, delivery & installation.

You do realize that a washing machine runs on electricity. So it has to be connected to the main power supply and if they needed extra materials you are expected to pay for it. But during the installation someone should have explained this to you.

If they take back the hoses the machine won't work, right? Just pay the chf 81. For that price you won't even get an electrician to come to your house.

Years ago the landlord of the home we rented ordered a new dishwasher from Fust. I was home during the installation and everything seemed fine. A week or so later the landlord calls me and starts shouting at me about why I told Fust to install a "sand filter". I had no idea what he was talking about and I told him so. Apparently the installer felt this would be a good idea and took the initiative to install even though it wasn't ordered. He never asked me or told me. It is actually not a bad thing to install. It is not very expensive.

The landlord refused to pay for it so Fust actually sent someone back to remove it. Surely that costs more than the actual part.

Re: Unbeliavable FUST

I recently had Bosch-Siemens here to repair my dishwasher under warranty. The repairman did the repair, and without asking me, started a test cycle using a bottle of dishwasher cleaner ("Maschinenpfleger", the stuff to clean the machine itself, not the dishes) he brought. He informs me of this after the fact, tells me what to do when it's done, and hands me another bottle of cleaner and says "do it again in 6 months".

A few days later, I get a bill from them for 17 francs for the two bottles of cleaner. I called them back to raise hell, since they didn't ask me whether I wanted them. I said that since I didn't request them, they are a gift under the law. (Which is true. A company can demand the unordered item be returned, but must arrange pickup/postage at their cost.) They tried to convince me to pay for the one they used without asking me, and I said no. Eventually they actually sent someone by to pick up the other bottle, worth 8.50 or something. Surely it cost them more in fuel -- never mind in customer goodwill -- to do that instead of just saying "Our mistake, keep it with our compliments."

Re: Unbeliavable FUST

I had a similar issue with having my car speedometer calibrated against professional equipment—against my will. Twice in the same day, by the good folks in Kanton Luzern.

They even had the audacity to send me a detailed calibration report (showing that my actual speed was 89 km/h, whilst the speedo displayed 100 km/h) - and with a bill for 20 CHF !

To add insult to injury, they have not bothered sending the second calibration report (when I was driving with an indicated speed of 90 km/h)

I have already had my speedo calibrated at TCS a couple of years back during the MFK, for a range of speeds (50 - 120 km/h). In light of that, I am tempted to not pay the 20CHF and show them the evidence that my car speedo has already been calibrated, thank you very much.

I had to read it a couple of times to understand that the 20.- was not a speeding fine. But the error looks like something over 12%. Are your Summer and Winter wheels of different diameter ?
