Aer Lingus Booking

It's taken me 3 days to book a flight with Aer Lingus via the phone reservation system. I want to book a flight from Zurich to the US, and it's impossible to do it on aerlingus.com. When I called the Swiss reservations number they sent me on a wild goose chase which ended up with me spending a day calling restricted numbers. I can't understand when I want to give them money how they are making it so difficult!

Re: Aer Lingus Booking

You called Swiss for what exactly??? To book a ticket with Swiss or to get the number of aer lingus? Your post is not clear.

Re: Aer Lingus Booking

The Aer Lingus flight to Dublin arrives very late at night and you'd have to stay the night in Dublin anyway. Perhaps look at Swiss (LX) morning flights and then connect to the respective Aer Lingus transatlantic flight.

Flying through Ireland can be advantageous as you clear both customs and immigration in Ireland. No queues on arrival, bags checked through and hopefully fewer issues making connecting flights. I know a few who've done it this way just for that reason.
