People who occupy the area on the bus/tram, reserved for push chairs or wheel chairs. They either stand there, or worst still occupy the dedicated seat, when there is plenty of space elsewhere on the bus.

If the bus is crowded, then I accept why you have to occupy the space, else please go and sit or stand somewhere else!
I don't mind anyone occupying the areas for prams or wheel chairs or using the seats for elderly etc etc as long as they are willing to move if anyone with a need turns up. Unfortunately, I very often find that people tend to be very reluctant in giving up their seats for someone in need.

What's coon rain? I googled it and there were some nice pics of those enormous Maine coon cats covered in rain.

Its a name from years ago that one of my old work mates came up for rain storms that arrive in the later afternoon just in time for when people are leaving work to go home.

As the previous poster mentioned, you've caught some form of malware. Try a different browser to the one you're using to confirm this if you like, but in the meantime I would run a malware scan.

Microsoft
Malwarebytes
Ad Aware

I ran the MS malicious software scan / removal tool and it did not find anything.
What i don't understand is if it is malware why does it ONLY appear on the English Forum?

Re: The micro-RANT thread

I noticed this on my Firefox, IE, and Opera too, but not on Chrome. As I use Chrome to access EF, I wonder whether it happens to be an outcome of whether you are logged in or not?

With 3 weeks' worth of laundry and today being your laundry day, you excitedly go the buanderie and find that 14/16 washing lines are occupied with clothes that couldn't be drier.

My MIL says she got her say muddled up a few weeks ago & went into the machine room to find someone had taken her clothes out of the machine & thrown them on the floor!

If only the shops would open earlier - then we old uns would be out of the way by the time the pulsing, energetic, dynamic paying-by-card generation starts to form.

Nobody pays by card any more, do they? They just wave a phone at the checkout and then touch "Bestätigen".

What they drop the "Any"?

Yeah, that would be annoying.

Re: The micro-RANT thread

my dog complained

it started with that high pitched long squeak and steadily increased in decibels till it was embarrassing.. full with changes in timbre, inflection, range etc

and why?

not because i was torturing her, but because i was schlepping her on the most beautiful scenic ride along the lake in the bike trailer to zug to buy some coffee and brown rice at the migros alnatura.

At first i made the mistake of stopping and letting her out, which meant she learnt to skip the slightly annoying squeak and go straight to the squeely like protest. then i upped my game because i'm heartless and no one was around and ignored her but as we came to more populated parts i had to pretend i was a good dog owner.

never mind theres always a next time

Maybe she was looking what was riding on the street behind her and the squeak was some part of her anatomy reacting

Re: The micro-RANT thread

it could be my driving she's squeeking about. my mother once screamed and reached for the wheel, which is rich coming from her

I think she's wrong to be nervous though we go slow about 10km/hr because the bike doesn't have hydraulic brakes and at that speed i think i can do an emergency stop if i have to and still be able to control the situation, i am a bit nervous on the bike in new places though so maybe she senses that.
