Well if there was a problem with it, it should have been a closed thread correct?
I see forum members constantly bashing new members for not going through old threads first before opening new ones. And when they do...they get insulted as well.

Which way do you want it people? Oh that's right, being rude isn't only limited to Swiss people...

I've said it before and I'll say it again ... don't judge the behaviour of everyone in Switzerland just by the interactions with some people in Zurich.

If anyone is rude to you here, just walk away.
That's all very well, but my cousin Miriam did that when the lady on the cable car was rude to him and now he can't walk at all.

Re: Swiss Rudeness

Although the incident in question took place 9 years ago, I have little recollection of you being an eyewitness to the scene, Wolli.

I will say that in this case and all such dealings where the counterparty is determined to act like a peasant, I endeavour to remain the model of good manners and politeness at all times.

You do know that you have way more than the 10 posts needed to sell things on the Items For Sale forum.

Cheers,
Nick

the poor Lady was just in Panic out of fear to make a mistake with the CANCELLATION which with many of those machines is a science and to get inevitable criticism from the Boss(es) about at leasst 29 violations of top important rules

in the evening, her friends and Family heard a different Story .... how she had stayed calm and not impressed by either the ugly Boss nor that rude arrogant foreigner and how she had mastered that horrible machine AND not least that this SNOB in the end thanked her

If she has a medical examination next week, they will be astonished why the Young woman has such a high blood pressure

Re: Swiss Rudeness

the funny thing is that one is advised to walk away. most of the time thats why theyre rude to you: dont you bloody customer bother, hassle, disturb me. plus there is no consequence in you walking away. the clerk is still there, no effect to the business. ignore it, insist on what you want or eventually accompany it with "if you hate your job, change. and now let me speak to your manager".
still its 50/50 that it has a consequence, but you can try and get it off your chest.

exactly, you've got to give it right back to them. Listening to Bushido songs can provide you with some of the German phrases you may need.

Re: Swiss Rudeness

My motto is to kill them with kindness and friendliness. I have a perpetual smile stuck to my face, and can't get rid of it. I can't remember ever receiving any rudeness from anyone ever. If one is genuine, others can feel it too and will reciprocate. Fake it, and even vultures can feel it a mile away.

Nah, I can't be bothered with that. I'm snarling at douchebags. You should try it once, it gives you freedom.
