Definitely sounds like a scam - court orders are sent by registered mail.

Re: Gerichtsverfahren?

The language has several grammar mistakes (of the type that you get when you use google translate...) and clearly does not make legal sense whatsoever.

If a Swiss court wants something from you do they either send a registered letter or the cops depending on how badly you screwed up...

Re: Gerichtsverfahren?

Signed: "Bundespolizei der Schweiz"

Germany has a "Bundespolizei" (Federal Police).

Switzerland has a "Bundesamt für Polizei fedpol", but not a "Bundespolizei"

The scammers need to go back to school.

Re: Gerichtsverfahren?

And even the German federal police will not come for you for court related things as all courts except of the highest are local and state legislated, not federal. ("Federal police" is nothing but a nice word for "border security" at airports...)

It's a scam... end of.

.
Point taken but, technically, Fedpol (Bundesamt für Polizei) is part of the Justice Department and Border Guards (Grenzwachtkorps) is part of the Finance Department, i.e., they're both Federal but not the same groups.

Re: Gerichtsverfahren?

The term "Gerichtshof" does not exist with respect to swiss courts of law. No official letter from swiss authorities will use it.

Additionally, a letter from the authorities that essentially orders you individually to do something will contain a "Rechtsbelehrung" (legal information). The Rechtsbelehrung gives the paragraphs underlying the order, demand or verdict, and also possible reactions by you - for instance, "this verdict can be appealed within 30 days by [description of procedure]".

Re: Gerichtsverfahren?

I think this thread demonstrates one of the very positive aspects of EF. A question which could have caused concern to quite a few members of the community was asked and answered very thoroughly and the responses supplied excellent information that helps educate the wider group. Great work by all and thank you! I just wish I knew enough to contribute myself!

Re: Gerichtsverfahren?

For sure its dodgy, being served court proceedings by email? In CH? Where every official document arrives by registered mail? It did not make sense! I fully subscribe to what Tacitus stated. Since moving to CH numerous times I got help in this forum, admins and users, thanks!
