Re: Poo in letterbox

Sometimes one just can't understand what people do. If there was an issue, why did the person not talk to you. Really unbelievable and I second the opinion that police should be informed.

Sorry thias happened to you.

Re: Poo in letterbox

Yep mind made up will report it, can't think how it happened really as somebody had to touch it with their hand to get it in the post box which is really gross maybe it's just kids I don't know seems like people are a bit strange here and do sly things rather than confront the problem ( that's if in causing one ) I'm using robi bins I'm walking them 2/3 times a day in permitted areas can't see what else I can do!! I know in my home town folks be just like ' excuse me but I've noticed there's quite a bit off poo in the area isn't it unpleasant ?' And obviously I'd agree and point out that I ALWAYS pick up, I've a little girl myself and know for a fact the hardships of picking poo out of the shoes especially trainers so DO appreciate the importance of cleanliness

Putting poo in your mailbox is a shitty thing to do. No doubt about that.
But if you have been disposing of dog poo in regular public garbage cans then you are not beyond reproach yourself...

The poo bags may be attached as a convenience, but even the Wetzikon Gemeinde website says that dog poo should be disposed of in a Robidog box and they look like this:

Mr Rabidog is a neighbour of mine and he's constantly complainming about the stuff people drop in his mailbox.

NO, don't leave it a little longer, the police need to be aware of this incident as it sounds like this particular person has taken a dislike to you and may take things further, I would even have a little note book and jot down comments they make to you and the dates, very handy to have a record of these incidents.

Do they actually live in your apartment block? if so might be worth mentioning it to your landlord. We had a guy that lived in the apartment below us and we had snide comments from day one of moving into our apartment, he even reported me for cruelty to my cats which involved a visit from my own vet who said it was laughable and a waste of his time. We moved eventually as it was seriously stressing us out.

Hope it doesnt get any worse.

Darcy

Well I don't know of many English people who would be dirty enough to put dog poop in someone's post box. Sadly there are too many people like this over here. Just push the police in her direction, she has to be number 1 suspect doesn't she?

I hope it does not spoil your enjoyment of this lovely country! There are lovely
People here too!

Well, you personally may not know them (the vaunted English you mention) - but there are plenty of them in the UK... or are you saying it's the foreigners (the Scots, Welsh, Irish and Antipodeans)?

/ducks for cover/

Seriously though (now where have I heard that phrase before?) what you've said is a lot of crap, pardon the pun. There are plenty of people "like this" the world over...

Yes there are, and I wouldn't name any particular nationality for carrying out this horrid deed but will put my neck out and guess they were a local?

Re: Poo in letterbox

This sounds horrible. What a "cack-handed" thing for someone to do ! (sorry).

I also would not let it go, call the police, and inform the landlord. I personally would go up to the suspected neighbour and ring their doorbell and not exactly confront them about it, but just 'warn them' to be on the lookout for 'idiots' who did this to you, mention you told the police and that if the suspect is found they will be billed for having the poopy mailbox profesionally cleaned.

If it was them they'll be mortified, at least on the inside. What cowardly antisocial sorry little wits.

Enoch Powell held maybe his most famous speech specifically on the matter.

And thus even a thread on dog poo gets Godwinised.

Gloves, or very likely, he/she would've just simply used the dog poo bag, inside-out.

This doesn't sound like its done by a kid/kids at all !!

This would really ruin my ...life !!
How in the world can one clean it now?
Would have to use a freakin toothbrush for the crevices...

Re: Poo in letterbox

FWIW in my last apartment someone put dog doo-doo on our doormat (which then got stepped in - nice). Since we were on the top floor, it had to be someone in the building, and we're sure we know who it was - the small-minded, dog-hating family opposite me who, I later found out, reported me to the Verwaltung on an almost weekly basis (which the Verwaltung thankfully ignored). I reported it to the Verwaltung at the time; but ultimately we moved.

I was and still am friendly with another family in the building and the wife of that family told me at one point the dog(actually world)-hater had lived in the building since it was built and pretty much considers it her own. Everyone knows what they're like, but it seems the Verwaltung can't or won't do anything about them. I was there just under 3 years; my Nachmieter was gone after 18 months, and the studio apartment between the 2 flats has pretty much an annual turnover of tenant.
