Does his work indicate that, even after it broke out Vitamin D may help? Or is is just about the allergy not forming?

As far as my brother is concerned the allergy is not that much of a problem, he just needs to remember to apply sunblocker and the problem is solved for the remainder of the day. And that's only relevant with direct sunlight, weather like today is not an issue.
The doc prescribed a massive dose of Vit. D weekly for three weeks, to get the levels up, so I assume the idea is that it helps reduce the allergic reaction. It is interesting that of our three children, the one who has the least sun exposure has the worst hay fever, and the one has the most sun exposure has the least hay fever. Of course other correlation does not imply causation, and the research isn't published yet. Stiil the doc charges us 500CHF for helping with his research project.

My wife has the same symptoms as your brother. If she forgets the sun cream, or doesn't cover up enough, she gets a reaction.

Re: MIGROS:NUT Allergie attack// hospital.

I have no idea. I was just disputing the earlier statement that pasta sauces with nuts and/or tomatoes in whatever combination don't exist.

And presumably if that was the case it would be listed as such and the servers would know about the nuts.

Cheese?

Hi EFers

I'm super annoyed - ate some cold cheese (freshly unpacked, best before Sept 12, eaten many times before with no issues) and it immediately made my mouth hurt like hell. Might be the beginnings of an allergy development, might be a one-time bug, might be an intolerance, might be a sign to keep the heck away from this cheese from now on. Shame

Might nibble on it next time, perhaps having less in the mouth at once will decrease the reaction.

Any ideas?

What do you mean by this, apart from "wrap the cheese when refrigerating", which I have done?
