Just out of interest, how much money do you get per month when you are on full social benefits? Around a 1000chf or so? And do they pay for a (very) basic small apartment etc?
Way way more, they will allow 1k for rent, depending on canton about 2400 a month.

im swiss. its my right to be in Switzerland. no one has the right to treat me like i have done something that i have to be ashamed about. i dont do anything wrong. i like everything to be correct. but somethings the social do is not correct.
exp. This swiss lady is married to an indian man. he dont have work. he gets help from social. social told his wife she must be careful that he will steal all her money and run away.
they did not have the right to say this things to this woman about her husband.
its not nice to bring people down.
WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND & What you do to others you get back 1000 fold. thats from the Bible
Why the need to threaten?

Things will come around indeed, and that will be in form of a bill you will owe social services if you comply with their rules and get their money because you comply - and let me tell you, you will not be living in luxury on that amount, quite far from it. As already said, you are free to not comply because you don't like the rules or for whatever reason, but then you don't get money.

I'm Swiss too, but that doesn't mean that I and others here who are Swiss don't have to follow the Swiss laws and rules which are there for a very good reason (non-Swiss have to follow the rules too, by the way ). Think how you would feel if you knew someone who got his social aid based on lies - not happy, I guess. So, even though there are honest people out there who need benefits, there is a need to weed out those who are dishonest and just in it for the money.

As far as things "not being correct" - I gave you links to the rules. If you think they aren't correct, take it up with your advisor, but I do not think that you will get far with the "I am Swiss, I get money, I don't like your rules and don't want to follow them" line.

has to be paid back by the recipients as soon as they are able to.
Not always, and depends on the canton, among other things.

Depends on if you have a kid or not, 2000 or so without, 2600 or so with.

You have to pay your rent from that, but basic medical insurance will be paid for you.

You get a fixed amount for clothes, food, pet care if you have any, public transportation, all insurances except basic health insurance.
Social services pay for rent (a cheap flat, you will have to hunt for one if you live in an expensive place, and move), basic health insurance (if you have supplemental, you will have to pay for that yourself), liability and household insurance, dental emergencies, moving costs.

It's the exception though.

In ZH you "get" 25k (you can save up to that amount) before having to pay back if you don't have kids, if you're married it's 40k for the couple, plus 15k per kid you have.
Examples (German)

In Bern you have to pay the money back in most cases as well.

Social services pay for rent
Not in Ticino.

But, as is often the case, this varies by canton.

So, there is no "one size fits all" answer.
