Stinker, stinker, stinker !!!!

I was with a friend of mine (he is Swiss), and we went for lunch in his nice big Range Rover. A father and his maybe 8 year old daughter jumped in front of our vehicle at the red light and stuck their tongues out, made grimaces and called "Stinker, stinker, stinker" to us. When the light turned green, they were still standing there.
My friend honked.
All I can say is that I am impressed by Ranger Rover. The car is not just great, but the honk does its job too. Never seen two people jump as far sideways as those two. Kinda felt bad for the girl to have such a moron of a father.

I was stopped by police for driving too close to a Range Rover.

I was only watching a movie playing on the back of one of the headrests.

Well, the many others happened outside of Switzerland.

One was in Botswana when I took my wife on her first Safari, well, I should have not gone so expeditionary, as we were on bigger style tents (not camping tents, but those type of tents that still fit a primitive form of a toilet inside). We had one of those emergency survival horns, to be used only against penetrating baboons as they can be quite dangerous. In the middle of the night, a outcast giant of an elephant came into our compound. It basically walked around the tents as was expected as they are not dumb, but it pretty much ripped everything else apart. My wife was shivering of fear, seeking comfort under her bed sheets. Me of course, nearly dying of fear myself, had to put up a great effort not to show it to my wife and act as I am totally relaxed, while branches and sticks cracked, a few feet next to our tent. So, I slowly stuck my head out and saw the tent next door with German tourists, have turned the lights on, and I could see the shadow of a person, holding the emergency survival horn. At that point, I thought I was going to die, we had clear instructions never to use it against anything else except baboon penetrating, because Rhinos, Elephants, can go berserk. I heard the elephant breath a few feet away of my tent while it tramped on everything possible, it ripped a bush apart I think because pieces were falling on our tent, and I had to whisper very loudly to the other tent not to use the horn!!! while trying to find out where my elephant was plus staying calm to my wive's constant fearful inquiries of what the hell I was doing and go back to bed to protect her, so I had to shut her up too...The Germans did not use the horn, good heavens....shivers run down my spine still today when I think of that day...
In Switzerland, I have not yet encountered many more funny situations than what I already mentioned, but I promise I will let you guys know when I experience something funny!

Re: Stinker, stinker, stinker !!!!

These hilarious stories made me think of a fantastic laugh we had at home this very morning. It is my daughter's 16th birthday today and tradition dictates we gather in a bedroom to open presents. Well, she is a keen footballer, so I bought her a football, which is fiendishly difficult to wrap, let alone disguise.
When she saw it wrapped up, she said (sarcastically, I think): "Oh, I wonder what that could be".
Oh imagine the hilarity that ensued when it did, in fact, turn out to be the football!
I'm still giggling now as I think back on it.

Re: Stinker, stinker, stinker !!!!

Just this morning I woke up when my clock radio alarm went off. You wouldn't believe it, it was right in the middle of an advertisement! I snoozed the alarm and when it went off again, it was a song playing. It sounded a lot like that one time, in band camp, when we had to play a song. When I went to brush my teeth, the water kind of sputtered out of the tap. I think there might have been some air trapped in the pipe. Although maybe it was just something to do with the water pressure changing. But I think it was air.

Well, this one time, at band camp, nothing interesting happened involving the woodwind section.

Although it turned out that the trumpeter played with the violists G-string and the violinist blew the trumpet
