I would say replace the pots to something sturdy but cheap, just in case there's another one (as it's not the first one, might not be the last). It's better they hit your pot rather than your house!!
How about some titanium spikes?

Unless your spikes are the size of a Greek Phalanx will they not stop a speeding car - only blow the tyres some meters from your wall.

Correcting the spelling or grammar of a person with dyslexia (or as close as it gets) only makes you look like a douchebag.
And are they log pots or speed control pots?

Maybe the OP should just put up a big red pots sign.

Not really.

Some people really deserve to be called out on their grammar but in this case it wasn't wasn't really necessary as the OPs mistakes were quite common and the story still made sense; the OP wasn't trying to be a smart-arse.

How big is (was) your plant pot that it can stop a car outright?

Correcting the spelling or grammar of a person with dyslexia (or as close as it gets) only makes you look like a douchebag.
I don't know how fast the car was going, the plant pot was very big and heavy.

Sorry for my grammer I didn't proof read it before posting my phone as a mind of its own lol.

Technically, that should be:

I don't know how fast the car was going; the plant pot was very big and heavy.

Sorry for my grammer: I didn't proof read it before posting as my phone has a mind of its own. LOL.

(Note: the semicolon in the first sentence could be replaced by an 'and' or modern usage would even put a full stop there.)

Re: Fed up with drunk drivers

you should be happy. I was stuck behind a bunch of people more drunk than me trying to hide the fact that they should not be driving by going 45 in a 60.

I just launched into a massooooooove overtake. After all, it was 3am and I needed a post-raclette poo.

Re: Fed up with drunk drivers

Sorry but I'm not really getting all the jokes about drunk drivers/drinking and driving. What if your child was killed by one?

One time we saw our neighbour swerving about trying to park whilst our 2 young children (under 5) were playing in the cul-de-sac with about 4 or 5 other children in the street. The twat couldn't string a sentence together and literally fell out of his car. I think were were really lucky to be in the street supervising.

Happens all the time where we live (in the county villages) and the police have stopped drunk-drivers and prosecuted but many others don't heed the warning.

I think you shouldn't drink any alcohol at all if you drive. And I think drink drivers are totally selfish assholes.

Fact is, they are more likely to be killed by a sober driver.

I fail to see the difference.

On that basis we shouldn't have any jokes about the Holocaust or dyslexia.

Re: Fed up with drunk drivers

I remember one 1. August, in a small Swiss village a family was leisurely walking home from the celebrations as their children were running around with their friends enjoying the energy.

The parents heard a car coming and suddenly went ballistic yelling at the kids to get way off the road!

They were safe to assume, anyone driving at that time on the 1st of August had probably been drinking.

It is quite the shocker how many people here are generally accepting--or less concerned with drinking and driving.

In Canada it is severely taboo, probably the 2nd worst offense someone could do.

I was hit pretty bad by a drunk driver when I was 15, luckily for me the concussion was bad enough that I have no memory of the incident or any pain or discomfort. A few weeks in the hospital, then a new bike from insurance! Not everyone is so lucky (aka OP's pot!)

What punishment can the drunk driver expect from the police for crashing into your property?
