Apple watch: second to return with the same problem

I was an early adopter of the Apple watch and bought one a few days after it became available in CH. Functionality-wise I love it, it got everything I was expecting and more. However, after 6 months of my initial purchase this is the second Apple watch that I have to send back due to the sudden appearance of a Black/Dead spot:



I'm thinking to ask Apple for a refund and wait for the next version. Does anyone has experiences returning items to Apple after months of the purchase?

very simple: Apple releases a new version every 6 months. this means that there is no reason for the product to live any longer.

What's the warranty? At least a year, I would have thought. Go into your nearest Apple Store and state your case.

By the way — early adopter? Hasn't the Apple Watch been out over a year now?

(I could comment on Apple fanbois getting their just desserts, but I'll refrain.)

Just yesterday my daughter was quite smugly using her very early generation ('11?) iPod nano, as she said bought before they had a clear plan for the next one. Retro
