I dabble - usually to insult both sides - in such threads.
You've integrated well.

What is clear to the rest of us is that neither side's idiots are going to persuade the other side's idiots to change their minds. Both sets of idiots are convinced however they can.

Getting offended by it is rather amusing.

I take slight with this. Not only am I an English speaker, but I also speak French and German. Granted, all three languages with grammatical errors here and there, but hei stone casting and all...

Bullies are everywhere. You can't fix them in high-school, you can't fix them in the internet. You really need to live with them, no matter how annoying they are. For every bully out there, there is someone genuinely trying to help. You just need to learn to filter the noise.
yes its called the ignore button.

The poll could be a lot easier:

a) They are people like me.
b) They are a different kind of person than I.

... this forum is not.

This forum is dominated by bullies, insults are the normal accepted way of expressing oneself, the intellectual level is lower than in the lowest class I've ever taught, ego issues overturn any attempt at having a discussion and the only policy of the house is to avoid confrontation. Next time you read a message about an expat puzzled by the passive agressive behaviour of the Swiss, look in the mirror. Hate, narcissism, ignorance and dishonesty feel at home here, you take very good care of them.

For the record: There is not one English speaker here with decent French or German, many wrong translations and incorrect explanations were given by presomptuous narcists.

This forum diserves nothing but a definite facepalm.
Faltrad online nervous breakdown and innocent victim spiel #163.

Forums are probably not the best place for people of such a delicate and fragile nature.

It would be even easier if you'd taken it down to one option "there are people" and then decided there shouldn't be a poll at all. It's like sitting down to dinner and thinking "oh goody, food, just what I wanted" without caring about the ingredients.

Ok, that was a shit analogy even by my standards. Let's say it's like sitting down to dinner and thinking "bacon, or not bacon".

Ah, but where is the rhetorical expertise in that?

Do you not realise that this is what true safe space is truly like?

I think you just want to be adored. So... J'Adore! Alright?

Re: Switzerland is all right...

I think what this forum really needs is a "teachers corner". No matter if you do it as a fulltime or part time profession or only have it as a condition... you can go there and lecture anyone on anything regardless of the topic of the thread. Bonus points for grammar, linguistics and Swiss history.

And for the front page I'd suggest a "flounce-o-meter" so we can see at a glance who of the regular moaners is on his period this week.

Yes, but who do you adore? It has to be "Je t'adore!", or even "Je vous adore!", unless you want to get a B or a C. The exclamation points are as important as the pronouns.

Still waiting for your examples? You just red blobbied me for "being offensive and proud of it". If you find me offensive or stupid or upsetting then use the mute button. No need to come on here and throw your teddies out the pram. You can create your own little safe space...

...however, you do your own fair share of mud slinging. Try not to be so precious.
