What is it about rich people from shit countries that makes them such horrendous snobs?

It's evident on this thread and I've seen it hundreds of times in real life.

Is it the shock of arriving in a country and discovering that nobody gives a bugger who you are and where you went to university? That the revolting plebs whom you'd dismiss with a wave of the hand back home also have a right to an opinion?

Whatever it is, it stinks.
Oh, wow, "shit countries". Talk to the "suckers" segregated into poor neighborhoods of the mighty blighty.

That is a new low for you. You are not so quick to dismiss your trolling buddies when they play ad hominem.

I don't care who you are or where you're from, if you're the kind of person who snaps their fingers at restaurant waiters, you're pond scum.
Who said greenmount is snapping their fingers at waiters? I don't remember reading this anywhere in this thread. You immediately assume that anyone who you perceive as rich or successful is a snob. It is the same attitude towards successful people in high schools. The others mock them as if it is a crime to be hard-working.

Here we are, less than a handful of people, supporting the OP's point with our own experiences of being categorized into the wrong sort of auslšnder and treated with less respect than anyone whether they are rich or poor deserves. The OP mentioned Coop and Migros which are not exactly the Globus Delicatessa, so what makes you think any of us goes to posh shops and are complaining about the treatment there? We are complaining about being ignored as we wait in line for a 3 CHF Migros coffee not an overpriced handbag.

I think some of you people have a chip on your shoulders and perceive everything as snobbery.

I guess it was just an example.
However, now that you mentioned this I have to say that only the thought of me doing that is hilarious. Perhaps I should try once!

It's been a shock enough to sleep one hour longer from Sat to Sun, but Friday threads on Monday morning seem to be a far worse experience than the time change.

The usual EF crowd are shocked that a couple of foreigners from 'shit' countries are standing up to them and after 21 pages of derailing and trolling still have not given up. So they started attacking ad hominem left and right.

ALL foreigners are from 'shit' countries.

Why else would they come here?

However, the OP is a racist POS. The Swiss this, the Swiss that, etc. Replace the word Swiss with the the word Jews, Blacks, etc.

I am nothing but content with my life here. Why are you on EF if you're so happy in Canada? This is for expats in Switzerland.

Cannot wouldn't understand that someone can (partially) agree with OP or other posters despite their own experiences and feelings being different.
After 50 years in Canada his language skills still suck.

Sorry, couldn't resist. This forum makes you. I admit - they always win.

Making fun of someone's language skills on the forum is of bad taste. Lots of things have been said on this thread that is questionable but laughing at a member's written skills? That I do find it uncalled for, yes.

Perhaps they should all be banned? That would make the forum much much better wouldn't it.

Your argumentation if getting worse and worse and the number of references to bodily expulsions is getting higher and higher. I will refrain from posting until JohltaVontra comes back with his hilarious comments.

You might do well to do the same if you are so offended by his remarks. No-one is forcing you to come here and reply.

Besides, today is Monday and those of us with reason to prove "they have proper careers where they earn a living without resorting to scams or bribery and who are not here due to the misfortune of being born on the wrong part of the world but in fact have worked hard to be able to work anywhere in world" have work to do.

I noticed you didn't mention muslims.

Muslims are the fashionable hatred group of the moment but that's ok to be racist toward them on this forum.

I agree the OP was showing poor judgement, outrageous generalizations insults, etc.

Well a person can do even less to change the fact they were born in one country or other than to improve their language skills so if you are going to tut-tut someone because they were obviously provoked into saying something, you should think twice.

But I guess you are a French Canadian so maybe you take this more personally.

Hi guys. I'm a russian who moved to Switzerland 9 months ago. Here is my my honest opinion about Switzerland:
.........
- swiss are very judgemental
.........
- swiss are ignorant
.........
- swiss use a word 'auslander' a lot
.........
+ swiss know how to drive. When I'm crossing the road, most of time these guys start braking like 40m before zebra. I can rarely see crazy people on the road, but if it happens, it probably an auslander.
So an ignorant and judgmental post from someone complaining that the Swiss use the term auslander and then uses it themselves.

I can't work out which former EF member is behind the username.

Nah, that was sort of funny. Being told by a Swiss immigrant in Canada to leave CH, only because you agree with certain opinions, now that was...irritating. And it wasn't the first time.
I could have refrained myself from replying in any way though.
So yeah, that's all. No more derailing from the OP.
