perhaps i should of been more precise in my post...for the bored imported housewife that seems to nitpick my every comment...
here being zurich (the bad place)
there being geneva (the fun place).
Eh?

I have no idea what you're on about.

As far as I am aware I have never even commented on any of your previous posts so I have have no idea how I could be considered to be nitpicking them.
I am not bored, nor am I a housewife and my comment was not even directed at you but at the OP.

Sensitive little flower are we?

You've just made my husband snort tea onto his keyboard.
I rarely snort into my tea cup and even if I do, one of my maids (either Polly or Suki that is) will clean it up immediately. By the way I should remind my butler Sebastian to get the reception room ready as we are going to have a nice little soirée for a select number of rich people from shit countries this evening.

I must admit I didn't understand the point of his post either. I almost took it personally but I am not a bored housewife... well at least not anymore.

You really need to watch Downton Abbey a few more times. You're missing the tone entirely.

OMG! Do you think there's, like, even the slimmest chance that your Sebastian and my Sebastian are related? That would be super awesome.

Well Nil, I see you speak some Turkish in addition to your mediocre English. If that is the wittiest answer you can come up with, I would think twice before starting a war of words with anybody.

On another note...This thread is fast becoming a retort-fest so I would not bother answering until the OP comes back and puts us back on track.
You said that yesterday. You also said you were sick of bullies on here.

So what are you doing? Bullying people. Do you want to join the "Club", whatever that is? Those terrible posters who PM each other every five minutes to gossip about and decide who to bully. That Club that doesn't exist except in your bored stuck up mind?

You are rude, and obviously have no idea how Fora work. You give out insults, expect some back.

And perhaps read a bit more on how members here write, you will understand their senses of humour. And you may even learn some interesting things about their backgrounds too. And most of us do not look down our noses at the cashier in the Migros.

I do not watch that sort of nonsense actually. It is for people who have not read English literature and cannot appreciate a higher form of writing, i.e. Charles Dickens, George Eliot etc.

Hmm, so there is some truth to what I said. I was once on a new mummy ("mommy" to Americans so I wasn't in ancient Egypt or anything like that ) forum and I noticed this sort of behaviour there. So my comment about ganging up on people via PM was just guesswork. Interesting that it actually happens here as well. But really from the tone of writing it is obvious that there are a couple of different groups going on here.

Seriously? Dickens is the reason soap operas and multi-stranded narratives exist. Probably Eliot too. They wrote about every day people going about their lives... if Shakespeare were alive today he'd be winning awards for his screenplays.

I think you could benefit from some nonsense in your life. If you only read "Dickens etc" there's no wonder your world view is a tad off-kilter. Don't be snotty about lit too!

My Sebastian has a number of cousins and relatives who have also been in the housekeeping industry for generations. So they might very well be related.

Hope that awful chef of yours is gone. I've heard you lecturing him last time and he dared to answer back! Pfui.

Oh, catfights...cmon, let's get a bit of common decency in here and if somebody's reaction is causing somebody palpitate and compulsively dish crap back, maybe it is better to not post just that minute. Highschool all over, so much self indulgence here.

I wonder if the people from less "shit countries" (if you allow me to quote) can let the people from "shit countries" to nag, or it is completely off limits. It seems like there is some kind of license that people from better places usurp to police other people's nags.

I do believe Nil had her tongue firmly in her cheek. You either know that and the above is supposed to be amusing, or you don't, and that means your interweb forum radar is on the fritz. I'd get it looked at if I were you.

Who said I only read Dickens? Downton Abbey does not compete with sci-fi dramas, does it? I only compared it to Dickens because I couldn't compare it to 1984 or Lolita or Moby Dick.

Also as you see I have a lot of nonsense in my life, after all I am here, posting.

Anyway, you are taking the discussion further off-topic.
