resumés | | | | | I don't know how to get a diacritic above my e as I'm still using an Australian keyboard. Care to enlighten me as to how to do it?
Resume can be spelt with a diacritic over one or both e's or even (shock and horror) not at all!
I guess I can assume my 'CV' has not made it passed the shredder?

Hold down the left ALT key
on your keypad, press 2 3 3
release the ALT key
This might work with Arial and Verdana fonts - run charmap and copy/paste is another option.
Or just write resume and suffer with your substandard keyboard |

I'm reviving this oldie but a goodie thread because I've been noticing a lot of txtspk here on EF lately.
Be warned. If your post reads like this, or a variant: | Quote: | | | | U know smtg 2 do. N I don't. | | | | | There's a damned good chance your post will end up deleted.
Remember - we're not all native speakers of English here, keep it to fully spelled words and we're fine. That way everyone can understand you | | The following 10 users would like to thank evilshell for this useful post: | |

To me, reading txtspk is like reading Swiss German. I have to read it aloud to understand even half of it.
And now, with the discussion wandering over to apostrophes and spelling mistakes perhaps we should put a link to this Thread too.
