The average person in Switzerland gets about 60k a year and that includes people with families to support.

So you people, who make those useless repetitive topics asking if you can survive on some salary most of us cant even dream about, please, do some f****** research! Yes Switzerland is expensive but your salary is more than enough. For a single person 200k (or 120k or whatever) is more than enough!! There is a search button. Use it! Will save you getting some red blobs for your stupid, pointless, repetitive questions

I think it depends on where you live. Where I live, this may be true. Along the banks of lake of Zürich, your quoted amount may be too low.

LOL I was going to suggest that someone who knows about salaries and costs of living do a thread and then make it a sticky. Summarizing the taxes on all kantons etc. When I came here I looked at the cost of life in a webpage I researched and adjusted my salary to it...didnt work though

I totally agree with you but you simply fail to understand that these people (i.e. those who posts their salaries) are not really in the market for an answer to their (stupid) questions. They just want to flash whatever they are earning.

There are people out there with genuine queries and there are people whose sole intention is to flash and troll.
