For as lumberjacks, we have CBC Radio 3.

Why is it, that when a band goes mainstream and get lots of airplay, people start turning up their noses at it, and labelling them sell-outs? Its not as if their music has suddenly gone bad overnight. |

Look at Metallica... they were brilliant until, presumably, the security of a solid, undiscriminating fan base gave them the freedom to start releasing County and Western music instead of what they were good at.
They were dreadful for nearly twenty years, because they could afford to be dreadful.
Radiohead, on the other hand, were always crap.

If anything, it's gotten much better. | | | | | Not to mention the really awful early 70's. If you have Lady Gaga's 'Alejendro' stuck in your head, listen to this little gem from 1974. It's guaranteed to stick in your head and make you wish 'Alejendro' would come back. |

I reckon there's a lot of good new music around, though it's not played much anywhere. There's a limited selection in clubs, pretty much just top 40, generic commercial house, american ganster rap or golden oldies.
In fact, this is what prompted me to start DJing again when I came here, and that's slowly turning out all right.

Well... I finally went and looked for this Alejandro song you're all on about.
Is that supposed to be an earworm? I have never heard a more forgettable tune in my life (or if I have, I've forgotten it).
At least Madonna sang catchy tunes... this is just... well, nothing, really.
If you want a proper earworm, look for the Llama Song...

Did your mum feel glad that she had you after listening to this song, or would she rather be sipping champagne on a yacht
Or dancing like Harlow in Monte Carlo..........MAn for such a crappy song, it sure sticks in your head after all those years

Things do not go lower than that. And yes, that includes anything by Black Lace.
