Don't call my name, don't call my name Alejandro (or the modern music rant)
...so, I seriously cannot take this insipid, annoying, redundant cacophony also known as modern music anymore. It's everywhere...you can hardly escape it..and it's loitering in the minds of the people. What happened to good music...to real music, which you simply could bump in the stereo and it made you feel good. I've included this youtube video of one of my favorite artists...I hope ya'll enjoy it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=490e3uACIGA

There has always been dreadful music - it's just that the crap music of the sixties and seventies (for example) has dropped out of our consciousness, leaving the good stuff behind.
Remember that Rolf Harris was a musical contemporary of T-Rex and Led Zeppelin, that the Goombay Dance Band were contemporaries of Kraftwerk, and so on...

Ehem, weren't you the one talking about creating meaningful threads and not silly threads about simple everyday stuff?
I hear you though I had it with Lady Gaga but for me the worst is the killers and that stupid song...are we humans or are we dancer...what are you morons?

Rolf Harris is a genius and if you don't agree it is because you have not taken enough drugs and listened to "tie me kangaroo down sport".

Don´t knock Rolf Harris, SunArise is the name of my boat and the title of my favorite song.
And do not forget the master: Roger Whittaker.

Angela, you are kidding me right? "Human" might have been overplayed but The Killers is a kick ass band. Well, kicks Lady Gaga's arse any day at least - and I always secretly wanted to marry their uber talented front man, Brandon Flowers. Too late

Talented? Kick ass? The Killers are about as edgy as a beach ball. "Are we human..." ties with Jerry Maguire's "show me the money" as one of the most repetitive and annoying phrases of all time.

Oi, I have a few friends composing modern classical music and honestly, sometimes I had to hold my mouth to not start laughing so hard...Has there been anyone else who is seriously tickled by some odd cacophony? It's such a lack of class to laugh at a classical gig...
Anyways. To stay within the topic of MTVinglish, anything with an autotune sucks real bad (apart from those funny brothers).

OMG, I can't believe it took me so long ... nor that I had to have such a massive hint ... to work out your avatar! (I just knew it wasn't that Cuban dictator guy ...)
Anyway, close. Music actually died a few months later, on 24 November that year, but it was already pretty sick by March.
