Re: Spot The Swiss Landmark

Since my last 'landmark' seems to have brought this thread (including LiB) to a screeching halt, here's something perhaps more readily recognised...

Re: Spot The Swiss Landmark

This one looks a bit like a church in Wädenswil. I went to the funeral of a young girl there. Brain tumour. Someone played 'Memories' from 'Cats' on the flute. Sticks in ones mind. Long time ago though.

Sorry, that's roughly 40±km off, as the crow flies.

No idea with the chuch I'm afraid. The new one gives the impression of being a brewery. That's a complete guess and I may be well off the mark.

I thought I had replied about the church picture before and posted a new one. I must have got distracted or clicked preview instead of submit.

Here is the one that I was going to post a while back. It may not look easily identifiable at first but it is unique. Why and where?

I'd say a bakery - one that specialises in gipfelis.

I haven't a clue which one, though. I never thought my dietary intolerances would put me at a disadvantage in a landmark picture quiz...

BTW, MN reckons it's an Islamic muffin factory.

Bless her cotton socks.

Looking at it again, either of your guesses are more likely than mine

I agree with both of you.

(Sorry, MN!)

It seems to have gone a bit quiet here. Perhaps this one was a bit too obscure. It is the word's tallest prefabricated concrete electricity pylon. It is at Littau, near Lucerne.

That looks like the Jova bakery in Zollikofen.

It's so familar, I'm sure I must have seen it many times. But if only I could remember where ...
