| The problem is not cracking and separating, it's the waste of the unused yolks. (or whites, if you only need the yolks).

Well, here is a solution (as I mentioned before actually) which should work as well for the whites as the yolks:
1. Take some time one day a week (or every couple of weeks) to separate eggs.
2. Follow instructions on
this page.

| - Separate the eggs, one at a time, into a small bowl.
- Transfer the white of the egg to a section of the ice cube tray.
- Continue to do the eggs, one at a time, until you have the needed amount of yolks.
- Slide the ice cube tray into a large, zipper type freezer bag and seal shut.
- Place the tray into the freezer and freeze the egg whites until frozen. This can take several hours or overnight to achieve.
- Remove the frozen whites from the tray and repackage into smaller freezer bags. Label the bags, using a marker, with contents and the date.

There is explanation on the page as well regarding what is needed to freeze yolks or whole eggs as opposed to just the whites.
I imagine you can take what you need out of the freezer before bed each night to be ready (thawed or partially thawed) for what you need the next day.
