Mail on saturdays?

Only been in Switzerland a short while and just wondered does mail get delivered on Saturdays?

Not as far as I know, but we don't get mail frequently anough to tell...

Ah, just looked in Living And Working In Switzerland, and aparently you don't get mail on a Saturday.

Letters do get delivered on Saturdays. Parcels do not.

Priority mail (A-Post) gets delivered on saturdays. Economy mail doesn't.

That's new to me - are you sure? Our post office says no parcels are delivered on Saturdays at all - even if they're A-Post. An exception would be the Express service. And we get economy letters on Saturdays...

It is only A post delivered on a Saturday. Confirmed it with the Post today.

OK - I stand corrected re. letters.

But A-Post parcels are not delivered on Saturdays...

I got two Economy letters delivered today, perhaps it depends on the postman!
