Re: Care in the community? [aka local nutters]

Perhaps this a Baden thing, but I've learnt it's sensible to stay at home when there's a full moon.

The first time it happened, one Saturday, I'd noticed some odd looking folks in town when doing my shopping, but didn't think much of it. I didn't go out again until about midnight, when I decided to go for a beer or two.

On the way to the pub I got asked for my Ausweis by a group of lads who were clearly not police. I ignored them, then once in the pub someone stole my beer. Next pub was much saner, but when I went to the gents, the towels had been pulled out of the dispenser and strewn all over the floor.

The barmaid explained that it was a full moon, and this one seemed particularly bad. I've since mentioned this to other bar staff, and they all say the same thing: it can get bad on a full moon.

An English barman said that when in the UK, he used to notice more trouble on a full moon, but not normally on this scale.
