Re: What do you make? Show us your stuff...

I think that you should go back to painting, by popular demand.

@Nic: love your crocheting

@Bas: very impresive.

I so wish I was talented at something, don't care what...

Thanks for the comments.... yes, definitely pastels . I have done some watercolours in the past but it's MUCH harder to get right than pastel !

Re: What do you make? Show us your stuff...

I`m like ceppych ...... don`t know too much about uploading photos. Sometimes I go to all the trouble in attempting it and then nothing comes out.

I was an artist, in acrylics, but have lacked inspiration since being in Switzerland .... now I want to try oils, but have not yet had the courage to actually BEGIN painting - its too scary. Got the easel, got the paints, got the canvas attached to stretcher frames, just have not gotten the brain into gear ... yet.

So, in the meantime I`m renovating houses. Little houses. From a friends miniature railway track system in his garden. If I can - with much effort and thought power - get the photos uploaded, will see if I have the courage to bare my waning talents here .......

Wow, some really wonderful creations here!

I paint abstract "skyscapes" etc., using a lot of metallic and iridescent paints (I like to play with light). I'll try to photograph and post some tomorrow.

Side note ~ I'm thinking that maybe someone needs to start a thread that contains instructions for how to upload photos on the EF. (I usually use a Photobucket account).

I like to make cards. I like that it's a project I can start and finish in one evening. Bigger projects, like cross stitch or crochet, do get finished, but usually only after a few cycles of getting bored and then interested again - so they take a long time.

Ohhhh... You'll wish you never asked. (evil laugh)

My latest obsession is glass. I work glass on a torch. All the beads here I've made myself. The first piece is lost wax cast coffee cup ring. It's a bit beat up as I wear it all the time & never thought to photograph it before it got worn. The second is cold worked silver piece I made by melting silver & copper together. The bead I made as well. On the third pic, the beads on the necklace I made but the metal pieces were bought.

I sew when my Bernina is working & make ceramic stuff when I need gifts. I also silk screen & basically I'll try to make anything. But I often forget to take pictures. So many things I don't have pictures of.

Those glass beads are lovely In university I used to hang out with the art majors down by the glory hole as they were fun, had beer, it was warm and as a chem major I was fascinated by the chemistry involved in getting the colors right. Great obsession!

They're gorgeous! You're very talented. I'm going to have dreams about teacup rings now

Wow so many talented creatives here.

i used to do some glass works, but don't have time now. I even went once to Denmark to do a special course at their glass school (Holbaek).

I love Murano glass, it's still hand made and as such very special.

Don't know if I am allowed to intrude, but here goes...

I make crazy projects:

Paint:

Build stuff:

And make some cross stich, but I have no pictures of it...

I also love to bake pretty cakes, but they don't last enough to make pictures of them...

I love your work. The collage is fabulous! I'll have to show my husband (we have a collection of circuit boards, valves and tech 'bits' that are 'just too cool to throw away'. Maybe I can convince him to turn it into artwork

awww thanks ^^

The collage was really fun to do. I know at least a section in a IT department in Hardbrücke is now bothering their wives to help them build something similar with their own garbage treasures xD

I found it really relaxing.

I'm such a nerd. I really love this - I'm seriously considering raiding the electronics bin to make one of my own (thanks to your great instructions on the other thread)!
