Hello again,

I've just moved into my "real" apartment here, it is heated by 5 steam heat vent thingies. The one in the kitchen seems to be making more garbling bubbling noises than the others (I'm actually not hearing anything from the others, although they are turning on when necessary as I can feel the heat). Are noises usual for these vents? Or should I be contacting someone now so that the wheels of getting it fixed can start in motion. Thanks for the info, in my places in North America I never had this heating system so as you can see I'm a tad new to it.

We need more information of your Heath-Robinson installation before we can make a reasonable judgement. I have stayed in hotels where the air-con sounded like a steam turbine.
