Professional Women Networks?

Are there any professional/ executive women networks in the Vaud region? We have found the "trailing male spouse" group for the hubby - but I find myself adrift....

Thanks!

Re: Professional Women Networks?

Sorry can't help with Professional women's group, but if you can point me in the direction of the male trailing spouse group I'd appreciate it.

Search didn't seem to give me anything useful

I do know of the Zurich International Women's Association - I know that it is not close to home for you, but they may be able to advise you of a branch closer to you: http://www.ziwa.com/

Re: Professional Women Networks?

I recently came across this http://www.powerhousecollective.com/ - not specifically for professional women, but potentially interesting nonetheless
The other alternative is to have a look in xing and linkedin. I've definitely come across some women's networks in xing.
Interested in hearing about other networks though!

Re: Professional Women Networks?

Years ago, back when I toyed with the idea of returning to meaningful work a colleague recommended the Business and Professional Women's Club:

http://www.bpw.ch/

The locations are under 'Clubs' - looks like there is a chapter in Geneva, Lausanne, Sierre - perhaps those are too far away from you?

Anyway - I've remained a dilletante Hausfrau, so I never got round to joining - meaning I can't say much more about the group or it's activities. But probably worth exploring.

Apparently in Nyon. Meet up once per month for beer and guy talk(?!?!?). My husband has not been able to go yet, but found it on the living in nyon website.

Re: Professional Women Networks?

Both Geneva and Nyon have International Women's Club (IWCN, IWCG). Within these organisations, they have sections for working ladies, and many others. I won't link it, since it is not non profit, actually seems like they profit quite a bit, especially the Geneva one. Geneva also have their male counterpart club, and that is purely biz. All these organize many family orientated get togethers as well, especially around the hols (you will have to pay those separately, aside of the membership fees, at least in GE, not sure about Nyon).
