I came across this while surfing -

Unfortunately, it has a list of Swiss towns to select from which didn't include the two towns that are the most beautiful I have visited (so far) - Stein-am-Rhein and Scuol.

Some of the towns on the list are down right ugly, it's just the surrounding mountains that are beautiful.

So where would you vote for?

Perhaps Stein-am-Rhein and Scuol don't count as towns. It looks more like a list of most of the towns of a certain size to me. Or maybe they just asked round the office and made a list of all the towns which anyone came up with.

Quite obviously, that list of towns to vote for is based on the number of inhabitants, a town, according to Swiss definition, being a settlement of 10,000 or more people. That's the reason why quite a few beautiful places are not listed. You can vote for Buchs SG, but Werdenberg, just around the corner, historically a genuine town and one of the cutest places in the country, is missing. Neuhausen, ha ha, but Diessenhofen is missing.

Just boycot that nonsense.

For me the choice was a no-brainer: its got to be Nyon

Well im biased since i live in Geneva. But still is not a very nice city. I wanted to vote for Interlaken but its not on the list. So it will have to be Montreux
