Special stamps: Festive Christmas motifs
"Chapel", "Christmas tree" and "Chalet" – three new special stamps from Swiss Post accentuate this year’s Christmas mail with a festive note.
A new feature of the Christmas stamps is that they are
self-adhesive.
People who purchase the new Pro Juventute stamps featuring the topics of "Trust", "Confidence", "Security" and "Friendship" can do a good deed.
The surcharge will contribute to the activities of Pro Juventute in honour of its centenary in 2012.
An additional special stamp has been designed by rapper Stress and depicts the diversity of Switzerland from his perspective. All stamps in the current issue will be on sale as of 24 November 2011.
With the three motifs "Chapel" for CHF 0.85, "Christmas tree" for CHF 1.00 and "Chalet" for CHF 1.40, Swiss Post is once again offering festive design elements for domestic and international Christmas greetings in the run-up to Advent. As of this year, the stamps will be self-adhesive. They were designed by Raphael Volery from Zurich. Matching Christmas card sets are also available.
