Events requiring costumes in December?
We were in Geneva today to get some props for a school presentation my son has this week and there was a HUGE line just to get in the costume shop. It was mostly kids and they getting all sorts of costumes. Is there a major dress up event in December?

Not sure about geneva, could be preparing for fasnacht (carnival)

Seems that wearing your dressing gown with a tea-towel on your head when you are playing the shepherd doesn't cut it for the Geneva elite...

I saw a cheerleader costume and several soliders in the check out line. I know i am new to the area, but having a hard time figuring out how they fit into the theme!

It'll be for the Escalade Parade, weekend of the 11th December, and frequently there are related parties at schools in the days beforehand.

Fasnacht in the Calvin-city? Doubt it somehow

...would be a bit like having Rhamadan in Langenthal.
