Re: Lanterns in Basel

Please call the Basel airport and ask them. Flughafen Basel-Mulhouse, 4030 Basel Phone: 061 325 32 20

An Italian reminded me that in Italy everything is allowed until it is forbidden, but in Switzerland everything is Verboten unless it is allowed.

Of course it is not allowed.

Re: Lanterns in Basel

They let off loads of lanterns on 1st August in the centre of town. I don't know about NYE as I was here lat NYE but it was so misty and foggy that they laid on a huge fireworks dispplay and although you could hear it, one couldn't see a thing.

I think if you let off lanterns in Basel at the same time as the fireworks it will be fine.
