I live at an elevation of 900 meters and it's snowing!

The ground is white,
the bell ringers are here
Gone is the drought,
Christmas is near!

PS: And if any of you dare to complain about the snow, I'll report you to the authorities. :-) You may, however, moan about my poem.

It wasn't snowing at 900m when we left this morning!

It was bloody chilly though - and raining - and I know it is expected today and tomorrow.

Here comes winter

Good job I bought a nice pair of snow-shoe trousers on Saturday

In my area, the snow started falling around 9.30. The Wetterfrösche are jumping with joy.

We're also at 900m and we've only got rain The snow is at about 1100m here.

The little one's been asking when it's going to snow; drove up to Ste-Croix (1050m) in the rain Saturday afternoon and she got to see it shift to snow . Didn't stick but still first snow is first snow. How cold is it there Oly?- it's ~11C warm in Nyon.

I just been for my run and it snowed/sleeted then rained and I am cold and wet. Now I'm back the sun is shining.
I really hope we get the snow here soon, though pleeease not in England. We're going home for Christmas and the past two years have been a big scarey nightmare trying to travel around between relatives' homes.

It's 3C here.

Hate to moan , but don't you mean drought not draught? Saying that though, it has been pretty draughty around here this past day or so.

I am working in St Gallen today (my office must be >750m) and it snowed a lot this morning - didn't really settle as the ground was too warm. Can't wait for more!

It was sleeting for a couple of minutes in Zurich. Brr.

Down on the other side of the lake we actually got some hail / graupel for a while this morning.

...or hang on, is that what you americans call sleet (so we're really talking about the same thing?)
