Your Capsules Coffee machine Experience? Aldi or Tschibo? Which makes best coffee??

hi everyone..

I am looking for an alternative to Nespresso . I am undecided between Tschibo and Aldi's versions. Both have been rated OK when it comes to value for money.

Has anyone got any of their machines and care to share your experience with how you found the taste and quality of the coffee... I am not after the best as I know I won't get it paying 2.49CH for 10 capsules but I don't want to buy a machine and then not be able to use it because the coffee taste awful.

FEEDBACK... COMMENTS ... VERY

and before I get crucified... I did do a search and couldn't find a similar one please just direct me to it without the very mean sarcastic comments. I have a weak heart and might not be able to cope...

Got a nespresso as a gift, and found out that Denner capsules fit in the machines - they are cheaper, but am not a coffee lover, so I couldnt advise you on the taste, just the price!

I did heat Tschibo sell their coffee cheaper on a Thursday - but check it out first!

Good luck

Re: Your Capsules Coffee machine Experience? Aldi or Tschibo? Which makes best coff

I have a nespresso back in the uk and a Tchibo here in CH.

The nespresso is great although I would steer clear of the Denner compatible capsules, they are ok but nothing special. Nespresso have a great range of flavours (Ristretto is my favourite).

However, the Tchibo machine and capsules are a lot cheaper than the Nespresso and I actually prefer the coffee (Espresso sizilianer).

Really dpeends on your taste in coffee and where your nearest stores maybe, you can go to the the Nespresso shop and taste for free, guess Tchibo would also be the same. As for Aldi I have not tried theirs so can not comment.

Depend of your intentions. Aldi's coffee wasn't impressive even if fit in nespresso's machine.

I got the machine from. Someone on the forum and I am so happy with it. I also prefer the nespresso for its international availability. So it can be use in an other country.

I agree with that. I've tried the Indian & Ethiopian capsules from Denner and don't like them at all, sub standard coffee.

In addition, eventhough the capsules fit in a nespresso machine, the flow of the coffee with Denner capsules is not good. It's quite strange. It's much slower and produces less liquid . I thought my machine needed servicing but that was not the case. It works perfectly fine with Nespresso capsules but not with Denner.

I also wouldn't say that Nespresso is excellent, it's just ok. There's nothing like grinding your own beans and making a lovely cup of joe.

Re: Your Capsules Coffee machine Experience? Aldi or Tschibo? Which makes best coff

Not sure if it's been mentioned elsewhere in EF but I came across a caps system at the Comptoir in Lausanne this past Fall from Trottet (I believe based out of Geneva)...They had a little stand and a deal that was practically free for a machine and a good number of caps

We had tried the roasted beans from Trottet in our Delonghi automatic machine and had enjoyed the flavor...Had talked about getting a 2nd caps system in the event we needed to service our Delonghi

There are only a few machines from Trottet and they are of the cheapest quality, IMHO, but we've been very impressed with the quality of the espresso it puts out...Caps are biodegradable which makes it a plus over NEspresso...The caps are quite cheap too, comparatively (20 CHF for 50 caps)...but most importantly it's consistently high quality espresso

They also have the online ordering system etc. similar to Monodor or NEspresso

Something to consider I guess

Got an Aldi one at the end on Saturday. Tried a few tastes and they weren't too bad. They are drinkable. I think the price is very good compared to other brands.

Thanks to all for the feedbacks and comments. Now who can help me choose a better half!!!
