Local papers are reporting a pretty massive biker brawl at the Pickwick in Baden on Thursday night. Apparently a bunch of Hell's Angels came in and picked a fight with some "Outlaws" who were there minding their own business. It would appear that it got quite bloody. Rather shocking that something like that should happen in this rather dozy small town...

Having lived in Basel for 3.5yrs and in aargau for 2.5, i can say that the people in Aargau are much more "normal" than those in Basel.

And besides, the Hells Angels which are closest to Aargau are based in Basel, Solothurn and Zurich so whats your point caller?

With the hard core biker gangs the best advice is leave well alone. The spats, not matter how violent, very rarely involve "outsiders"
On the converse it best not to mess with them, take the piss whatever. You are not dealing with members of the Harley Owners Group here - but people who have chosen gang life and philosophy over normal life and relationships. They have gone though a long induction into their "Patch Clubs" - whilst you may see it as trivial, they see it as a mater of life or death.

Well, they aren't fools. Both are criminal organizations making money through anything from drugs over weapons, prostitution to "protection".

They usually don't have a "brawl", they have turf wars.

that may be true in the rest of the world, but here?? I bet they all ride back to there large detached homes, park the bike in the heated garage next to the large audi ready for monday morning work at the bank

The founder of the Swiss "outlaws" is from Ehrendingen, and a good number of his porky leather clad comrades live there or are from the region.

There have been a couple of other incidents in the last couple of years. The Outlaws' clubhouse was attacked with Molotov cocktails and burnt down, and last year there was a mass brawl in an industrial area in Ehrendingen where shots were even fired.

To be fair, in all the incidents I heard of, the Outlaws seem to be the victims of the much larger and better established Hells Angels. Nonetheless, it's rather sad that grown men engage in such childish posturing, even in the badlands of rural Aargau.
