Does anyone have a complete list of holidays in Zurich in both 2007 and 2008 ?

This list is'nt complete, well, that is to say that you have to calculate the dates (Whit Monday, Pentecost, Ascension Day)...

Someone posted a link to a .pdf of all the holidays by region, though I can't find it now.

School holidays are listed at http://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/internet...en/ferien.html (note that Zurich has 6 weeks summer holiday in 2008).

The "Schulferien" PDF on that page also includes the other public holidays like Knabenschiessen, Sechseläuten, etc.

If you use Google Calendar then you can add this shared calendar of Zurich holidays: http://www.google.com/calendar/embed...dar.google.com. I don't know who maintains it but it's worked fine for the last 12 months.

For those using Mac OS X, you can grab the Swiss holidays in iCal using

Calendar -> Find shared calendars.

The Swiss calendar can be found by scrolling down and selecting "More...". It does however lump all cantons' holidays together.

Refer to other calendars for the precise dates of the holidays such as Easter which vary by year.
