Silvesterstadl is not what it used to be

Silvesterstadl (the New Year's Eve special for Musikstadtl) is not what it used to be. Racy outfits, old creepy men with nice hair but bad teeth, very few dirndls and lots of pop songs.

Oh, and the older generation is absolutely positive the relationship between Francine Jordi and Florian Ast will not last.

At least we still have Martin Horat and the Wetterschmöcker.

And my last tidbit: there's more going on that those Seniordances than meets the eye.

You heard it here first.

Happy 2012!

To the bemusement of the entire non German speaking world, Schlager / Volksmusik allows there to be Radiohead and Howlin' Wolf. Thank you, Music God, for having many rooms in your mansion.

It's my turn with Francine Jordi next. I need to save her soul before she abandons old folks sing-a-longs and turns to hard core pornography to earn a career.
