It is indeed obvious that you can't have a relationship simply because you are a foreigner.

The thousands of mixed couples in Switzerland aren't in any way conclusive, as Swiss people hate foreigners, it's well known.

Statistically, I wonder if it is more one way than the other - personally, I know of a lot of Swiss men who are married to foreign women, but am only aware of far less foreign men who are married to Swiss women. Hardly enough to be able to leap to any scientific conclusion. If it is a fact, I wonder why. Swiss women are not keen on foreign men? and foreign women not keen on those same men?

A huge percentage of marriages are mixed here and I'm hoping they don't just turn up randomly at the registry office and get married on a whim, so there must be dating first.

I know that this is not politically correct to say but I tend to not be interested in people who don't appear to have a similar cultural background as myself. Been there, done that, it's not for me. I also really, REALLY don't like the "follow a girl around creepily and then chat her up with some trick or line" approach, then I am arrogant as hell as I just want to get rid of the guy asap.

I'm Swiss and dating a Portuguese. We even have a child together actually. My ex-husband was Italian. I don't think I'm a unique case.

But I'm with Kittster on this one. If I'm plagued by a guy following me and generally harassing me, I become arrogant as hell to get rid of him quickly.

i understand you and kittster very well. excuse me to say but i don't go chasing after girls in an aggressive way like ''some foreign guys do''. just saying the girls are too shy and reserved. even if you talk to them in a polite and gentle way they still react strangely.
