| | | Manor. Could you be more disappointing?
Mistake can be accident, but the irresponsible attitude to mistake has nothing to do accident.
Recently, I had very bad experience with jewelry section of Manor, which locates in Hahnhofstrasse at Zurich. My colleague and me went to have ear punch. Since we are working with MRI, which has very strong magnetic field and can strongly attract any kind of magnetic material, I ordered golden earring. After Manor staff punched the earring, she scanned the package for payment. The price was not for golden earring. Then we checked the package, they were stainless steel earring, which is usually magnetic. But I can't wear magnetic earring. So she tried to take the stainless earring out, but failed. After discussion, we agreed that they are willing to offer the earring for free and I can come back next time to take the earring out if the earring is definitely magnetic.
After test, it turns out the earring is truly magnetic. Then I went back to Manor the next day. This time was the manager of jewelry section, a middle aged man. What he said was totally different from what we agreed with. He said that they were not able to take the earring out, and suggest me to go to Tatoo shop to take the earring out. But they are not able to refund the fee of Tatoo shop. He said that they gave me the stainless earring for free already, it's not their problem anymore. But I don't need stainless earring and can't wear it during my work. I don't what could I do except for disappointment. I don't want to buy anything anymore from Manor. |

You're lucky that you got out of the store. After I had my "intimate piercing" performed at their Winterthur branch last weekend, I flew through the air and ended up pinned against a refrigerator door in the electrical department!
The firemen couldn't resist a chuckle as they freed me. They used a polarity reverser device which triggered the jewelry to diametrically oppose magnetic north, thereby releasing my manhood from the fridge handle.

Imagine having them opposite magnetic polarity...

I'm confused. I thought ear-rings were easily interchangeable. Or is this some modern fad that I'm too old and fuddy duddy to be aware of?

I really don't understand what kind of earrings there are that you can't take them out by yourself. Can you not get them off yourself?

And I was thinking I ought to check out the Manor in Winterthur last weekend. What a pity I didn't.... some real entertainment.

Clean the area with alcohol before and after then put an antibiotic cream on your ears. They will close up in a day. Then in six (or a bit more) months you can pierce your ears again making sure the new earrings are gold.

How do you think I can and I should do it better? | | | | | Well you weren't really clear if you had already tried to get them out yourself and I didn't understand that "weren't able to" means that they couldn't actually get then out or that they were not allowed to take them out for you. There is a subtle difference.
Anyway, I find it easier to remove my own earring rather than someone else and maybe she just wasn't really trying. Did the manager try as well? If she really did squeeze them in too tight and even you can't get them out, I wouldn't wait to go to a tattoo place. You probably need to go to a doctor.
I hope they don't hurt at least. Keep cleaning them every night with alcohol until you see a doctor.
