Folks, aren't you taking this just a bit too seriously. You're sounding like a bunch of crotchety old geezers who sit around and complain about how much better things were when they were kids

When I was a kid there were promo's that all of the kids had to have and we drove our folks nuts to get these stupid little plastic things. Are you really so ancient that you can't remember the same where you and your friends collected, swapped and drove your parents crazy over getting the newest ones?

This is nothing new, it's been in our lives for decades, why get so stressed
No, you're right it's nothing new, but that doesn't mean I have to suck it up, does it? I do remember the promos when I was a kid, but I didn't nag at my parents to buy buy buy. I occasionally got a kinder egg, already had a yoyo before the craze and never got pogs.
Personally, I don't spend that much in Migros and won't start to for a silly craze. That's all I'm sayin' - sorry if I sound like a "crotchety old geezer".

The wooden game is quite nice. It teaches a version of a traditional African game, and it's nicer than the nanos.

My son loves collecting those, and as I usually shop at Migros anyway I don't mind. And it's quite educative to learn about the animals and the continents. Muche more so than with the nanos anyway.

But I missed the special aqua one, anyone has a spare one????
I've got one you can have. PM me your address and I'll send it to you. Pity the Soluthurn trip has been postponed otherwise I would have brought it for you. (work that one out )

(Off thread) Yes I was sorry about that too .. but I suspect we are partly to blame because we didn't reply to say we were coming ...

On Thread: my son came back at lunchtime all excited because his teacher's aunt had given 20 packets of Mountain Mania to the teacher to give to the kids .. she had been given them free in Migros. He was really excited and started ripping them all open .. didn't have the heart to tell him that was the last collection they did (I don't shop in Migros ..)

Which reminds me that I have a whole lot of Mountainmania stickers which I recently found, and also still some of the nanos - if somebody wants them let me know.

Re: Migros animal pendants.

we missed the aqua one as we were on sportferien. I mean really, Migros, could you please take vacation schedules into consideration? I guess it is my fault for leaving the country for our holiday! So, maybe there will be a repeat of the aqua day? Last Wednesday it took me 15 minutes to find a parking space to fit into due to the mania. I just really needed to shop, and started the kids collection as well. Will be interesting to see how crazy it is this Wednesday. I have to say, it works. I haven't shopped this much at Migros since Mountain Mania...

I think it must depend where you shop but we keep getting the same ones too. Got loads of elephants, giraffes, eagles and arctic foxes but none of the Asian ones. We obviously need to go to different cantons every time we shop.

@ ecb I can send him some stones if you think he'd like some. I may even come to Basel on Wednesday or early next week.

Strangely, we have absolutely no American ones?!

Wednesday they're doing a swapping afternoon at our local big Migros, I guess I'll combine that with shopping for the joker...

Re: Migros animal pendants.

We're also getting the same ones all the time! But it seems, not the same ones you're getting :-) My daughter would so love to have the elusive giraffe!
We might spare a Terra joker stone, though, if anyone would like it.
Today, we got a Stellerscher Seelöwe/Steller sea lion that had its colors reversed, it is a white design on a black background , the official migros Steller sea lion stone is black on a white background, I'm so sorry for wasting everyone's time! My daughter pointed it out to me :-)

Re: Migros animal pendants.

I've just been through my son's collection (it's snowing outside and I'm bored) and have made a list of our doubles.

I have:

America Jaguar x2, Grizzly x2 and Eagle x4 We only need the Iguana

Europe Big deer thing x1, wild boar x1, fox x1, hare x2 and lynx x2.
We only need the squirrel.

Africa Zebra x1, Hippo x1, Giraffe x3. We are done with Africa

Asia Orangutang (sp) x1 and python x2. We need the Gekko,
Macaque and budgie/ parakeet thing.

Oceania Great white shark x1. We need the dingo, kiwi and koala

Arctic Arctic fox x1, penguin x2, Whale x3, polar bear x4, Narwal
x1 and Sea lion x2

I also have 2 of the earth joker stones.

I don't know why we have so many as I have only been to Migros twice and once I only spent 45 chf and got 2 aqua stones? I think they're being a bit random in giving them out this time. Oh did have some donated to him by the lady in front of hiom once so I guess that also helped.

I guess it's a bit early to start swapsies but if anyone wants any of the spares they're welcome to them.

Re: Migros animal pendants.

Guys, I have a few after shopping at Migros. The check-out lady gave them to me without asking so thought I'll post on here to see if anyone wants them, if not I'll chuck them by next weekend:

- 3 crocodiles (alligators???)
- 1 penguin
- 1 squirrel
- 1 sea turtle
- 1 sea lion
- 1 Iguana.

PM me your address and I am happy to send.

BelgianMummy, the Koala is yours as I've just read your post above. Will need your address too. Let me know if you need anything else.

If still available, I'd like to have the ones in bold (just once though) and one aqua stone?
Un fortunately I can only give you the parakeet.

I have to give away (they all come with the stickers of course)

2 Grizzly bears, 1 wolf

3 foxes

1 panda 1 parakeet

2 walruses 1 polar fox

I don't remember collecting anything based on how much my parents spent in a supermarket. I do remember the latest sticker book coming out and collecting the stickers.....I also did the Pog thing, the difference was that my mum and dad could buy me a new packet of stickers when I did some chores or as a treat, they weren't forced to spend hundreds of CHF every week to collect them or be forced to shop at a different supermarket to shut me up.
