Person next to me did not feel or see a thing. They told me that I was day dreaming.

Just had that exact same experience in may office. Along the North facing side of the building all of us felt it, on the East facing side, nothing.

God, and I thought I had left that rubbish behind.

I didn't feel it, for the record.

From that site, it looks like it was in Italy? West of Bologna.

it must have gotten stuck in the evening traffic as it never arrived here!

I read about it but was thinking maybe it was only felt by the super sensitive people! Guess I am hardcore.

Yep I felt it too - was sitting at my desk and thought oh dear - I actually left the flat as we're on the 7th floor... Then made my way back indoors...

My first Quake - hopefully that's it & thank goodness no damage / injuries to anyone!

I noticed my study shaking and just assumed it was a heavy truck passing by, although a mysteriously silent one..

Didn't feel a thing. I expect our house was built to last.

Can you imagine what it feels like for people who have felt over 10,000 earthquakes recently ( and not over yet..)

Switzerland has also had 10,000 earthquakes - but it has taken 800 years to have that many. (I believe what I read in Wiki :-D

Christchurch has had that many in the last 16 months.
