My parents are coming to visit. I know that they probably would like us to hang out there first evening here, but since we never have that chance to have a babysitter I think I will surprise my husband. I would love to go to a concert. Any suggestions?

I have got German class in the morning so will be taking some homemade cupcakes with little choc hearts in them for the class.
This year will be my first Valentines with my man, last year I was in NZ and he sent me a dozen red roses and sent over a couple of kilos of Laderäch choc...mmmmmmmm.
Just spending time with him is enough |

I was working with a Mexican girl and it was getting late so after getting back to my hotel, I got the receptionist to book a table for two at a nearby restaurant.
"Ah, a romantic meal for you and your wife for Valentine's day", said the receptionist.
"No, my wife's back in England.", I replied.
"Even better!" he replied.
My wife's the other side of the world this year but I don't know any Mexican girls here. | | | | | I can introduce you some friends | | This user would like to thank coconut for this useful post: | |

We're not doing anything that we don't usually do because EVERY day is like Valentine's day in my house!
You can never show too much appreciation for the ones you love!
You can never give/receive too many kisses and hugs!
You can never say I love you too often!
You can always wear sexy lingerie, go out to dinner, buy flowers, drink champagne and eat chocolate any day of the year, just because...
I don't need no stinkin' calendar to tell me when I should do any or all of the above
Hearts and flowers to everybody

Tom | | | | | I bet!
That's a lot like giving the lady in your life a jigsaw or other piece of hardware (unless she's a hobbyist herself) - at least a (nice!) vacuum is ostensibly for her.
For us, we don't have plans yet. We got some vouchers for deluxe theater visit for Christmas, maybe we'll make use of those. Hubby is simply horrible at gifts so am not expecting anything spectacular, like some others though, I am very keen on celebrations of just about any sort so I'm sure we'll do something.
Odile mentioned raclette I think, that sounds good to me too, we've got a small one "for two", maybe I'll get some fancier things to nibble too, and make a nice nice dessert. We'll see how the mood strikes closer to the day. |

I'm fairly certain any Valentine's Day-related things coming from my boyfriend will be "hello, happy Valentine's Day" and then nothing else - this is fine by me, as long as he doesn't forget our anniversary next month! | | | | | You might as well post the date here, just in case he happens to peruse these pages |

This year's a biggie as we have our anniversary on the 29th of Feb which means I have some catching up to do in the pressie department.
But tomorrow as well ??? Ah man I'm with Mr G. Some Quick acting alcohol and a neckless, armband or some sort of body piercing and I'll call it a success....
Any ideas for an unforgettable anniversary gift. Inexpensive too as we are saving for a two year round-the-world trip....
