Whats the average age in this forum?

I hope you haven't had this subject before but i was wondering about the average age in this forum. From my point of view its far above what I am ...

Maybe I've got the wrong perspective so, lets try it with a poll

Regular readers, already know the approximate age of regular posters, but I believe it doesn't really matter.

BTW your age parameters overlap: If someone is 30, should they choose 25-30 or 30-35?

Actually I think it has been done before.
But a young 5-Poster like yourself wouldn't have been around in those old days.
By the way the 60-70++++ group may be perturbed by your comment. Computers and their users weren't all born yesterday, and tend to move alongside the new developments. Don't know many still using wordprocessors or Office 19XX...

And that may likely be because one of their grandchildren/children upgraded it for them. My grandfather was still using windows 95 as of a year ago because he hadn't heard of anything else.

I have a relation who is almost 90, who accesses the internet daily. She is perfectly capable of doing her own upgrades.

You can safely say that someone in their 90s is a minority, duh.

Besides that, I started programming computers in the early 'seventies, when most of the EF members weren't born yet, and I have been using the Internet for 30 years exactly. That was when about 1,200 computers were connected to the Internet -- worldwide. So there.

Well we're on an internet forum, thus I already assume anyone using this forum has a descent amount of knowledge of the internet regardless of their age. Plus according to the demographics chart below, 80% of us hold a university degree which has a strong correlation with the usage of the internet and technology in general.
