| | | Haircut for man with long hair [GE]
I've kind of got a Che Guevara meets Carrot Top hairstyle (almost shoulder-length thick red hair, brushed back and held in place with one of those girly horseshoe-shaped things). Hm...well it looks a bit better than the image I've created
Anyways, the past several cuts that I've gotten were never up to par, I think maybe because not many hairdressers are used to such cuts. Having avoided getting it chopped in Switzerland over the past year or so, this will be my first time paying the associated price. So, before making more of the same mistakes as in the past, I was hoping to get a good suggestion, perhaps from a fellow long-haired man.
Geneva area, French-speaking is no issue, and anything under 60CHF would be okay. Thanks!

As an admirer of red-headed men... I think you should get it cut shorter and stop using the girlie headband. |

The job hunt has officially ended (yet the name lives on). In my last ditch efforts before what would have been an unanticipated and frankly miserable return to the US, I magically landed an ideal position Thanks for asking!
Coming full circle, that's precisely why I need to sharpen my professional image by means of some selective felling in the rainforest that is my hair.

Hhhhmmmm, forget the men's hairdressers. You need to go to a hairdresser who is used to working with think, long, curly hair, someone you are more likely to find at a good, women's hair salon.

Do you also sport long locks of love, or is your recommendation based more on her general skills (or good looks, perhaps? also worth considering...) | Quote: | | | | | Hhhhmmmm, forget the men's hairdressers. I provided the ginger Jesus image for a reason.
Also, just as I'd only step into a women's restroom under dire circumstances, the same can be said for a women's salon. If I were single, on the other hand...

I'm pretty sure I posted a query on English Forum, not amihotornot.com
In any case, that photo isn't me, although I chose it because it could be easily mistaken as my identical twin, seeing as I not have the same length of hair and beard.
To appease the masses, this is moi and, coincidentally, the type of trim I'm trying to get again:
Sooo, back on topic...

Very nice! But I agree with KeinFranzosisch (sorry, no umlaut on my laptop), you should lose the headband, otherwise perfect! I am especially fond of red hair, having it myself.

I thought it was only women who worried about their hair so much and us men only worry about it when it's gone or going. | | | | | Why would you worry about something that doesn't exist?
I don't worry about how to spend my millions, simply because I don't have millions to spend. Mo' money mo' problems could also apply to hair. Bald/ing or military cuts are pretty effortless, but the more hair you have, the more that can go wrong with it.
Besides, as I already made clear, I'm not asking for styling tips or fashion critique, I just want to find a proper hairdresser suited to my not-so-typical men's hairstyle. I've wasted enough time and money on inadequate chops.

Have it all cut off, make your long hair into a wig, then every month shave scalp bald. Save money and the time wasted reading womens' magazines at the hairdressers.
