I am happy today because it's my healthy state of mind.

Sitting by the lake at Yverdon in wonderful sunshine and watching about 50 fireman do some sort of exercise with their hoses -

I cleaned the pool now....ready for the guests tomorrow. (2 children from my neighbours and their parents , yes swiss people) and they will have a wonderful time with BBQ planned tomorrow.

A Swiss girl smiled at me on the train on the way home. - First time ever!

Blueberries, watermelon, sunshine, and a local asked me why I speak such good bernese swiss german..:-) hurray for progress on the language front!!

I am happy because I have someone to share it with ...

Successful BBQ, swimming, hamster-arrival, good friends...made my day wonderful.

Back home to Home Sweet Home, lovely OH, dog and cat, greenery, riot of colour in garden - and sensible temperatures (after 2 weeks snorkelling in Sharm-el-Sheik in 42C) - wonderful.

An acquaintance just gave me 2 plecos for my aquarium! Hurray 4 new fishies who will help eat the annoying algae so I don't have to clean the tank soo often..

Spent the day at the lakeside, in the heat and the sun, with my two kids. Happy days.

I saw a beautiful fox whilst out running in the woods. We held each others' gaze for about three seconds, I said hello and the fox turned tail and ran back into the trees. Wonderful!

What made me happy today is that I sat in a class about career transition and was reminded that whatever your mind conceives it can achieve. You are never too old to go back to school, or start all over again with a new career or open up your own business.

The smell of the wonderful dark caramel irises in the garden - given to me by an old neighbour 2 years ago and flowering for the first time. And the fluffly pink flowers of the Thalictrum clumps dotted in the borders. Aghhh.

Just having nightcap on the terrace, having enjoyed a lovely dinner with hubby, sitting outside at a fish restaurant directly on the sea (and it is still 25 degrees!)

Walked past the local primary school this morning on my way to the bottle bank and heard the children singing 'I can see clearly now (the rain has gone)'.
Made me smile after last night's thunderstorm .
