Fairytale Town of Switzerland

Have you ever been to Fribourg? I have been there with my girlfriend and I absolutely loved those little houses and colorful narrow streets like in a fairytale.

I got a very nice photo there and I decided to enter a photo contest with it. Please click like under the photo and share it with your friends if you like it. I would appreciate your support with me and also in this beautiful town of our Switzerland.

Here is the photo: http://travel.nationalgeographic.com...s/135538/view/

Re: Fairytale Town of Switzerland

Totally agree! The old town is the best, and most 'uncommercialised' amongst the ones I've seen. - Berne, St. Gallen, Basel.
Murten. - again in Fribourg canton is also very pretty.

Very true. I also love hometown of Bern though. But agree on you that Fribourg is more peaceful and quiet without all the shops and crowd around.

Re: Fairytale Town of Switzerland

Switzerland has so many interesting old towns and cities: Avenches with its Roman amphitheatre, Estaveyez-le-Lac, Solothurn, Yverdon-les-Bains, the list goes on and on.

HA! I know exactly where that is. I lived 20 meters away. Good photo btw.

Another Fairytale town is Gruyere. I just love visiting the castle, albeit it's very touristy.

Looks amazing. Added them to my future travel list. Especially the colors of the buildings and its' combination with this ancient historical aura around is awesome.
