My 6 months old Monitor ( a Hewlett Packard ) is defect. I will be bringing it back to Interdiscount to see if it can be repaired. It is under warranty. My question is this. If it can't be repaired will I be able to choose a replacement Monitor or will HP say which Monitor I will have to accept as replacement? The model that I have now is not available any more from HP. Thanks

Well Interdiscount gave me a new monitor after 5 weeks of negotiations Its a HP 2301

Yes 5 weeks. The HP monitor HP 2310ei had a defect that was common to all monitors in this series of monitors-display port did not work.Manufacture failure.

I tried to convince HP of this-although they already new that all these monitors had the same problem. First they replaced it with the same monitor-and it had naturally the same problem. I sent it back. Trying to talk to Interdiscount ( where I bought it) about the problem was like bashing ones head on a brick wall. They showed zero interest! And they did not even know what a Display Port was!

Well in the end I got through and they gave me another new monitor-HP 2301-its really a great monitor!

I am 100 % sure that I will never purchase from Interdiscount again even though they replaced it in the end.
