It was here before there! In the middle of teaching, and all my washing ont he line of course. Wind's calmed down and so has the rain now.

It's days like these that I love being on the top floor - we get to hear everything. It's like we're camping!

We just found about 3 liters of water that came in through our CLOSED window.

Went for a shower. When I came out, my kitchen was soaked as I'd left the window open. That's my plans for the evening shot, then.

Ouch, I've just checked the radar, and it's a biggie. Not long before it hits the Zürich area.

According to my radar, the worst of it will keep a bit south of Zürich. Hope it does. I DO hate mopping up the water in my cellar.

been over basel for the last 40 mins, i was on a moped and made it home and escaped the rain by a few seconds!

In Basel we were having dinner on the terrace and the clouds rolled in - heavy hail, thunder and lightening!!! Rain has passed but just heard a couple loud grumbles!! The walk to the gym is looking dubious....

Never seen anything like it, on the A3 highway people had actually stopped under bridges and in tunnels to shelter from hailstones the size of marbles. These things would definitely dent your car, but luckily I managed to find an underpass where I could wait it out for 10 mins or so.

As usual Basel has statistics and not weather, it rained a bit and the streets got moist.

I have only seen his in the USA on holiday hail was the size of golf balls we stopped under a bridge many cars were damaged: Eek:
