I know where I'd rather be, when the helicopter comes to rescue the occupants.

It is really worth trying! The view is amazing and you can try the Candle Light dinner up there. It is one of the best experiences we had in Switzerland!

Know what u mean.
Ended up crushing the armrests with my hands and welded to the floor just watching King Kong climb the ESB last time I went to the movies..
Stepping on a chair to get summat from top of wardrobe is my limit!

Re: Not for the faint hearted?
Am I the only one that sees a scene in one of the next James Bond films being filmed on that thing?
A fight scene, naturally. Of course at one point Bond will be dangling off the side having been flipped, punched or kicked over the edge by his evil opponent.
The only question left is how will he get out of such a sticky situation.

The ride is about 2½ minutes and quite fast so their hats probably already blew off. I guess there's a business to be had in collecting and reselling hats that drop to the valley below.
There was a programme on DRS TV last night on this cable car. The trouble is that although the cabin holds 80 only 32 get to get up on the roof - any you know how the Swiss queue...

I think I would definitely prefer the cable car ride to the 'Walk of faith' in Blackpool Tower, a glass floor where you can see down for 320 feet.
